"Satori" received the Pastel Society of America Award at the 2026 Lake Country Pastel Society Exhibition. 

I named this painting after the Zen idea of total presence. Satori is the feeling of being ONE with all living things. I have a glimpse of this feeling occasionally, it's a state of complete inner peace and no-mind. Through my art, I strive to relay this feeling to others.

​I imagine bees don't have to strive, instead they simply are ONE with the universe, doing their bee-thing without having to think about it.
