Have you ever said, “I can’t draw” – or perhaps you’ve mused, “I wish I was artistic” believing that you just don’t have the skill?

Well, this class is for you!

Everyone benefits from being in a creative state of flow. During this class, you’ll learn techniques to release yourself from perfectionism so you can let go and just create. Learn about -and play with!- soft pastels in this easy-going class.

At the start of class, I'll lead a warm-up exercise designed to help liberate you from your inner critic. Once you're comfortable and loose, you will practice these skills as you work individually on your own drawings.

Materials Provided (material fee is included in class fee):

• drawing boards , easels, and artist tape
• 2 sheets of 12"x16" Canson Mi Tienes drawing paper
• 1 sheet of 9"x12" UArt sanded pastel card
• NuPastel firm pastel sticks
• Rembrandt soft pastels

Included with all classes:

• Hot tea, still and sparkling water
• 10% off purchases from Mary Pow's Studio Shop made on the day of the class

Classes are located at Mary Pow's studio in NE Minneapolis. Directions and parking instructions will be emailed prior to class.

Withdrawals

If you need to withdraw from the class, please email Mary Pow at mary@marypow.com. If your withdrawal request is received at least 10 days before the start of your class, you are eligible to receive a refund (minus a $15 processing fee). Refunds will be issued to the same form of payment that was used to purchase the class. If your withdrawal request is received less than 10 days before the start of your class, no refunds will given; however, you may transfer your class spot to another person.

Cancellations

If minimum enrollment is not met 3 days before class, I reserve the right to cancel. In this case, you will receive a full refund.

Minimum enrollment for this class is 4 people.
