Maybe you've seen me needle-felting at art fairs? Now, you can discover for yourself why I love needle-felting! It's an easy hobby to get started with since very few tools and supplies are necessary. I find it to be so relaxing that it's almost meditative. Let go of stressful habits like doomscrolling - and learn a new activity that actually helps to clear your mind.
In this relaxed class, I'll teach you about types of wool, proper needles, and the basics to get started. I'll have examples of mushrooms, succulents, and a variety of animals that you can copy - or you can create your own thing. I'll help you with tips and tricks along the way.
Provided:
- wool roving in a variety of colors
- felting needles
- foam pads
No need to bring any supplies, but this basic tools felting kit is a good start for your new hobby. If you choose to purchase this -or something similar- bring it along!
Included with all classes:
- Hot tea, still and sparkling water
- 10% off purchases from Mary Pow's Studio Shop made on the day of the class

Classes are located at Mary Pow's studio in NE Minneapolis. Directions and parking instructions will be emailed prior to class.
Withdrawals
If you need to withdraw from the class, please email Mary Pow at [email protected]. If your withdrawal request is received at least 10 business days before the start of your class, you are eligible to receive a refund (minus a $25 processing fee). Refunds will be issued to the same form of payment that was used to purchase the class. If your withdrawal request is received less than 10 business days before the start of your class, no refunds will given; however, you may transfer your class spot to another person.
Cancellations
If minimum enrollment is not met by the registration deadline, I reserve the right to cancel the class. In this case, you will receive a full refund. Registration deadline is one week before the start of the class.
Minimum enrollment for this class is 6 people.
