Noko Willows (No More) (original)
This scene will never exist again. On a walk in mid-January, I saw that these willows were being cut down. I felt so sad; they were glorious trees... However, the next week, in the sunshine of a new day, I reflected on the beauty of change. Nothing ever lasts — and we don’t have control over that. How we respond to change is something we can control. So, I’m going to choose to see the positive— What new things will grow here? What young love or fresh insights might be sparked by people pausing for a rest on this bench?
