April Snow (original)
In Minnesota it's almost guaranteed that we'll get a snowfall or two in April. It can be beautiful, but we're always happy when it melts quickly. This painting shows Lake Nokomis on one of those bittersweet April days.

A NOTE ABOUT PASTEL
Unlike most types of painting, pastel is a dry medium. It is pure powdered pigment in the form of a stick, allowing it to have a close association with drawing.
